Location notes
A public footpath in a field overlooking a junction on the main Bristol to Birmingham line where the line to Worcester diverges.
Railway type and traffic
Passenger services in the hands of Cross Country Voyagers and 170s, with FGW 150s, 158s and the occasional 153 or 142.
Freight includes military traffic to Ashchurch, which heads to Worcester to run round, steel, tanks, engineers traffic mostly 66 or 60 hauled.
Cotswold Rail locos often pass this way.
Environment
Rural open fields, quiet and peaceful. There are sometimes sheep in the field but they don't bite!
Road directions
From M5, Junction 7:
Take the B4084 towards Pershore. After a couple of miles you will come into the village of Stoulton. Turn right here towards Wadborough, then take the next right. When you get to the railway bridge you will see the public footpath alongside the line. Head down the edge of the field.

Photographic notes
The best shot is for southbound trains, either on the main line or coming off the 'branch'.
Trains from Worcester are travelling pretty slowly at this point. Northbound shot is possible but trains can appear quite quickly. There is also a southbound freight loop.
For the more artistic shots, it should be possible to take a shot of southbound trains framed between the trunks of a large tree.
